Not much new on this homefront.
Work is still here, but am looking for a better paying job (was initially planning on only having to work 4 days a week when I moved out here), IRS Treasury Dept. has now thrown their hands up in the air, saying there's nothing more that they can do to get L's refund from the bank (it was electronically deposited into a wrong acct, bank has supposedly withdrawn it, but hasn't/won't send it back to the gov), and weather has cooled down into beautiful 80s. AND football season has started (GO Seahawks...don't tell L that I'm not ready to wholeheartedly root for the Broncos...).
Made it back to Denver last Sat, and Sun AM we headed up over the mountains for a few days to recoup. Man, it was gorgeous as always! Weather was spectacular, especially in the cool mornings when I went fishing with L:
My friends, along with the pelicans and osprey were still there to say "hi":
L caught 2 Kokanee salmon and a Rainbow trout (pic desn't so justice - they were all about 12"):
So, of course there was a massive, deliciously tasting bar-b-que:
I even had time to perfect the Ft. Get-A-Way "position"!:
I am enjoying looking forward to all the fall colors (especially "my" Aspen tree) up here in the Rockies! Should make for some striking photos - I hope.
Better go ready for work this afternoon. Want to watch some of my 12 Family Videos I've made over 20 years that I confiscated from storage.
OH!! Bru bbmyls2go !!! Here's a poor shot I got as we were coming back down Berthoud Pass!! It was in the middle of one of the hairpin turns, so you might not be able to get a good look, but someone stopped and set up 3 Pink Flamingos on a small island-type area on the side of the road! Thought of your new place:
Enjoy!! (go Seahawks........)
